Life happens. Even to Real Estate Agents. Considering how stressful the job can be, I think sometimes it happens to us more then others.

Sometimes things happen that we have no control over that require us to take a step back from the business for a time. In Ontario, and most other areas, there are companies that will hold your Real Estate License.

If you are:

  • Retiring
  • Taking a leave of absence
  • Caring for an ill family member
  • Having health issues
  • Taking a maternity leave
  • Moving out of the province for a period of time
  • Just starting out and not ready to jump in full-time

If you have to leave the business for a period of time, or are retiring, there is no need to keep paying high Brokerage and Association fees.

Parking Brokerages do not belong to Associations like CREA or OREA or to the local board, so you don’t have to pay the associated fees. You also don’t have to pay exorbitant office fees, desk fees or franchise fees.

Don’t give up the years of expense and education that it took to get you to this point. In Ontario, if you let your license lapse for more than 2 years, you have to start all over from the beginning.

If you know anyone who is thinking of leaving the business, refer them to us and we will pay you a $25 cash referral fee. You do not need to be a licensed Sales Rep or Broker to obtain this referral fee as it is not linked to a trade in Real Estate. Anyone can collect it!

If you have questions about winding down your business to retire or for a brief hiatus, contact me by email or phone if you have any questions, I’m here to help!
