Leaving the Brokerage you are currently working with can be confusing at times. Please find answers to some commonly asked questions. If you have questions about parking your Real Estate license once you have terminated your contract with your current broker, please read the FAQ here.

Q. What do I need to do, to terminate my agreement with my current Brokerage?

Q. What do I need to do, to terminate my agreement with my current Brokerage?

A. First of all, you need to check the agreement that you are working under. Generally, there is no notice necessary, but you should always check the wording in your contract. The termination letter that you submit to your Broker/Manager should include the following information:

• Your Name
• The Brokerage Name
• The Broker/Manager's Name
• The date you are writing the letter
• The effective date for your termination

Q. What happens to my firm deals?

A. Any deals that you have that are firm would be payable to you directly from your old Brokerage. Even if a deal is "firm", nothing is closed until the check is in your hand. Your old Brokerage would likely deal with anything that came up between your termination date and the closing of the deal, but you might not want to leave it to chance. If you will be referring business back to a Sales Rep at your old Brokerage you could offer them a small referral (they might not have to do anything) to hold the client's hand until closing. If something comes up (like the final walk-thru inspection or small amendments that need to be done), the client will be looked after and you can decide if you like the way the Sales Rep handles your referrals. One would hope that the Sales Rep would be doing their best for you, given that you may refer them future business.

Q. What happens with my Listings or Buyers under contract?

A. Any active listings or buyers will have to be referred to an active Sales Rep. Since you've already done the difficult part of closing them (good for you!), you may be able to negotiate a higher referral split with the Sales Rep/Broker that you refer them to. Again, pointing out to the Rep/Broker that you will be referring future clients will likely make them much more receptive to a good referral rate.

Payment to Karma Realty Inc.:

When you purchase products and services at from Karma Realty Inc., payment is through PayPal. We keep no record of your payment method or information, we solely keep a record of the amount paid, date and product or service purchased.

Contacting Us:

When you call one of our office or technical support about a product, delivery, a billing question or for customer service, you may be asked for information that identifies you along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question, such as your name and address and a phone number where we might contact you. We may retain this information to assist you in the future.

Contests, Questions or Surveys:

When you ask a question, participate in a survey or enter a contest  that may be offered from time to tome, we may collect your name, address, phone number and email address. We use this information to administer your participation in a contest. At the time you are entering a contest, we may ask your permission to send you future marketing information from Karma Realty Inc..

Employment at Karma Realty Inc.:

We advertise employment opportunities on our Sites. In connection with a job application or related inquiry, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials, or any applicable pre-screening questions). We use the personal information you provide for the purpose of processing and responding to your application.

Karma Realty Inc. uses personal information to continually assess and improve the products and services we offer. We would also like to inform you of products and services, sales and special offers that might benefit you. When you register online or participate in a survey, you will have the opportunity to sign up for emails about our products, services, sales and special offers.

We may also send you mail, email or call you with information about our product and service offerings if you have provided us with your name and address, email address or phone numbers.  If you would like to stop receiving such promotional information from Karma Realty Inc., there is an option to do so at the bottom of every email sent.

We use your feedback, suggestions, survey information and comments solely to monitor and/or improve the use and features of our Sites and our product and service offerings.

If your purchases are being shipped to you, we will share your shipping information on a confidential basis with our delivery Service Providers (Canada Post, or other delivery companies we or you select).

Karma Realty Inc. reserves the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets to a third party acquirer.

Legal:

Please note that Karma Realty Inc. and our Service Providers must provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required by law. We may also disclose personal information to assist us in collecting a debt owed by you.

Access to Personal Information

As a registered user with our Sites, you can access your profile information at any time by clicking on the "Sign In" button at the top of any page on the Sites on which you are registered.

Additional Information about our Sites

Visiting our Sites:

In general, you can visit our Sites without telling us who you are or providing us with any information. However, we collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all visitors to our Sites and other related information such as page requests, browser type, operating system and average time spent on our Sites. We use this information to monitor and improve our Sites.

Tracer Tags:

Our Sites may also use a technology called "tracer tags". These may also be referred to as "Clear GIFs" or "Web Beacons". This technology allows us to understand which pages you visit on our Sites. These tracer tags are used to help us optimize and tailor our Sites for you and other future website visitors.

Third Party Links:

Our Sites may include links to the websites of our business partners, vendors and advertisers. Except as provided herein, we will not provide any of your personal information to these third parties without your prior consent.
